![]() ![]() The reason why typical fisheye distortion isnt overly visible in the sheep examples is that the camera is more or less level with the horizon, the more up or down the more visible the distortion, the background doesnt have many straight lines for recognition of distortion, the only recognisable object in the picture (the sheep) is in the very center of frame where the least distortion is. It has XA, Super ED and ED glass elements along with four XD linear focus motors to drive two focus groups for fast, quiet and precise autofocus. If you put that same lens on a APS-C camera, you would have the equivalent of 12mm focal length. This bokeh camera lens features a modern optical design that maintains high corner-to-corner resolution throughout the focus range, even at f/1.8 maximum aperture. And go with a standard or telephoto focal length, not wide angle. If possible, pick a lens with a high number of aperture blades (remember: the more circular the aperture shape, the better). This is particularly useful to emulate cheap atmospheric scattering. Go for a lens with a wide maximum aperture (ideally, f/2.8 or wider, but f/4 can work, too). Defines the distance at which the pixel is blurred with a radius half of Depth blur Radius. ![]() This value is measured in Unreal Units (cm). Both of the Canon 50mm Mk1 primes are 5-bladers as are the 20-35USM, the 14, 20, 28 and 35mm Primes - I would imagine that all of the old 35-XXX USM lenses are too. The distance in which the depth of field effect should be sharp. #3 BLADE BOKEH LENS FULL#An 8mm fisheye lens on a 35mm full frame camera is 8mm, probably with heavy distortion and possibly without the projected image from the lens covering the entire frame of the camera. The test showed one thing - an 8 blade Iris produces very nice Bokeh, 5-blade is pretty horrible, 6 isnt much better. What Dalai means is that on a real camera, a larger sensor makes the ‘fisheye’ (distortion) effect more visible. ![]()
